Probity
A structured approach to probity, and compliance advice and audit, across the full spectrum of an organisation's operations is good business. Probity audits are used to confirm the probity standards observed during a procurement or grants process, conducting asset sales or implementing a regulatory approvals process. PSI audits and advice are within an atmosphere of partnership, where the client is provided with ongoing guidance and advice on the relevant probity issues as the processes are developed and implemented. This ensures that: probity is maintained throughout; disruption to the momentum of the project is minimised, and re-visitations are minimised. To ensure that outcomes are visible, defensible and auditable, PSI establishes and agrees a clear expression of the protocols and standards that must be satisfied. Typically, these would be based upon: the requirements of all relevant legislation,
the requirements of all relevant and formalised decisions and directives; equal opportunity and fair dealing, and good business practice.
