Program and Project Evaluation
The evaluation of publicly funded government programs and projects can be a complex undertaking. Often such programs will involve a substantial number of stakeholders and a diverse range of data sources.
PSI's program evaluations generate information that is both practical and relevant to support adjustments that may be required. The objective of an interim review is to assess the extent to which a program is meeting defined objectives to date.
In this situation, evaluation criteria may not be fully developed and may require analysis in order for them to be finalised. On the other hand a lapsing program review is conducted because the program requires appraisal in order to permit a decision to be made regarding the extension of the program.
In this situation the typical evaluation criteria include appropriateness, efficiency, effectiveness, and opportunities for improvement.
