MARA Redesignation

Department of Immigration and Citizenship - Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA)

PSI reviewed documentation associated with the transfer of the authority to DIAC control, identifying possible conflicts of interest and providing probity advice on management strategies to mitigate any such conflict. Report peer reviewed by Sir Laurence Street and presented to the Secretary of DIAC.[July 2009 - June 2010]

HRMS Contract Negotiation

Victora Police

PSI conducted probity reviews and provided advice during the tender process for the selection of organisations to supply and implement a Human Resource Management System across Victoria Police and the Forensic Information Management System (FIMS) project. Tasks included reviewing the selection process for Tenderers, supporting the evaluation and negotiation process, and provided a comprehensive probity report. [2007-2008]

Adelaide Desalination Plant Project

SA Water

PSI provided process and probity advice during the procurement processes leading to the establishment of a contractor to undertake the Design, Build, Operate and Maintenance of the Adelaide Desalination Plant and subsequent Renewable Energy tender process. Combined value estimated in excess of $4 billion.Tasks included: monitoring engagements with industry and selection processes, including workshops (that adopted Alliance principles) and reviewing key acquisition documents [2008 -09].

Australia-US Free Trade Agreement

Project manager for review of procurement practices in the Department to ensure efficiency and consistency of application and to prepare for the advent of the Australia-US Free Trade Agreement. [2004]

River Tender Round One, Ovens River

North East Catchment Management Authority

PSI were involved in reviewing the selection process for tenderers, supporting the evaluation process, establishing evaluation criteria and provided a comprehensive probity plan and report. On a project to purchase management contracts from private Landholders to protect and enhance existing native vegetation along the banks of the Ovens River and its associated floodplain, wetlands, and creeks.[2005]

Catchment Tender

Wimmera Catchment Management Authority

Catchment Tender is a program that uses an auction-based approach to allocate conservation contracts with private landholders to achieve improved management and protection of native vegetation and biodiversity assets on private land. PSI were engaged to conduct a probity review and provide advice during the tender process leading to the selection of 'value for money' bids.

Procurement and Probity Advice for Barwon River Waterway Management Services Barwon River Geelong Project, the management of a 20-kilometre stretch of the river through Geelong, including various river reserves, including the maintenance and enhancement of the river beds, banks and various adjacent reserves, and providing associated services and facilities.[2004-05]
